Maintaining your door lock is luckily very simple to do. All you do is clean the handle with soapy water once a week to keep dust and dirt from going into your lock. Then you get a silicone lubricant, like WD-40, and spray it into your lock, before moving your key around to spread the lubricant. This is also great for your gears, meaning they will last longer.
