Take care in what type of lock you use for your front door. Having a simple thumb-turn dead bolt lock won’t do much good. Thieves will just knock out the glass, stick a hand in, and turn. Get a double cylinder lock that needs a key on the inside, that way even if they broke the window in your door, you’re still safe and they couldn’t get in.
